It's just a bit naff, isn't it? It doesn't say anything.
I actually quite liked the old Wal*Mart logo - but perhaps that's just because it's relatively new to me.

it goes with their new save time, save money tag line
- pr20
of course, they probably outsourced it to china since you can get logos made there for $20... I think for the $20 they spent they got a pretty good deal.

looks like a medical logo or a perscription mark...

They are finally starting to loose money, and probably trying to re-brand with this sweet new logo.
That sun thing is better than the nike swoosh.

It does look like a pharmacy chain and doesn't indicate that it sells food, which is honestly what most people (our family excluded) go there for.
The kerning whilst not technically correct has a certain aesthetic appeal, and I think the choice of typeface is just about right for their market.
The anus thing mystifies me..- I know dude... I never understood how you can actually put it inside the hole she shits out of..********

It could be an anus, or the distant popping sounds of value and employment slowly ebbing away.
But then again, perhaps it's smacks of WalMart's deftly hidden sense of futurism. Moving forward, but in an even deeper and more advanced way. By golly, that looks like shorthand for "entering hyperspace"
It's WalMart that will lead the way to consumer future. Albeit, the type of future that's filled with mutants and post-apocalyptic imagery.
- maybe its the butterfly effect where someone has altered something in the future and its popped out of existence7point34
- or rather the past.
oh well -1million to me for referencing a ashton kutcher film7point34 - *tsk tskharlequino

Not bad. Fits their brand and audience. Looks fun and cheap (obviously). Ever wonder why a multi million dollar company like Menards has such shitty commercials and logo? They want to come off as frugal, giving the illusion to their customers that they don't have to jack up their prices in store to pay for millions in advertising... like Nike. I think it works well for Walmart in that respect.

it seems most of you don't really know, well.. very much. You're all very adept at whining to the internet though apparently so that's something I guess.
- oh wise one, please enlighten us. I posted spark an exchange regarding this. Your post is as empty as that logo.monkeyshine
- I dunno, "a$$ ugly" and "looks like an anus" etc isn't really a debate I feel like spending time on tbh.********
- well you spent enough time with flat air when you could have been elevating the dialog.monkeyshine
