*why does it have to be "cute"?*
i'd rather have girls lookin in awe rather than boys looking in awe as i drive by

No, I'd rather it have air of cool about it.

prices have held? these were circa 12k entry level - 04 plate, 18k £5.5k on autotrader - that about as bad depreciation as a Mazzr

There a great town car, and amazing when the car has a 1000cc bike engine in them, really responsive on acceleration. :)
- Lol. That's the cutest thing ever.
I now want one!VectorMasked

i was considering them to save on gas but i drive on the highway a lot. i bought a toyota yaris instead. it's better on the highway, doesn't require premium gas, gets similar MPG, has 4 seats and costs about the same.

both the roadster and for two would be seriously scary on roads in the US with all those big jeeps to argue with

I picked up my 4/2 Cabrio in Feb.. replacing my 01 Saab Viggen.. the gas milage is waaay better, and the top goes down at any speed.. I still have the Suburban to haul equipment, but for everyday driving and around town errands, nothing beats it..

I've seen it this year at Auto Show and actually sat in it. it's not bad for what it is. And i've also seen it around the city.
I like the idea of Smart Car, being able to park perpendicular to the park spot. It's too bad it's against the law to do so in nyc. I wouldn't wanna drive that little thing on US highways though.

does it bleep much?

Imagine the shame of being hit by one.

I've got about 2500 miles on it so far, about half city, half highway.. and ya, it does bounce a bit in crosswinds, but nothing scary..
its got an 8 gallon tank that will get you over 300 miles, so the fill up (at 4.15 a gallon) is roughly 30 bucks, which is pretty nice... there is enough storage in the back for a trip to the market, and the passenger seat folds flat, so you can fit a full tripod bag in..- but does it do good handbrakies?
Can you fit your bees in it?slappy - actually you can get it to drift a bit .. and yes, all of my Bee's fit. (Alien Bee lights, that is...)nicnichols

of course it bleeps.
Bleeps when you unlock it, bleeps when you lock it, bleeps when you don't wear a seat belt, bleeps when you park, probably even bleeps at fellow cute gay things.- that's odd, I haven't found the 'moth bleep' yet..nicnichols

I will never drive one. Too many SUVs and trucks around in North America. I once saw accident scene photos of a head-on collision of a Smart Car and a large truck, and the driver (Smart Car) was literally in 2 pieces and skull crushed flat. Haunted me for days.
