I actually like his movies. I forget when every single movie everyone was to ever see was to be the best movie they have/had ever seen.
And on that note ...
- I'm looking forward to this movie.********
- Not that I think his movies are the greatest, just that I actually like them. I wouldn't watch them multiple times.********
- I also wouldn't turn them off. Plus, the whole lame surprise twist that people hate is actually kind of funny.********
- I agree. I don't think they are genius (except maybe one), but they are entertaining.Jaline
- 'Wide Awake' was fucking genius!********
- I really enjoyed the Sixth Sense, and Unbreakable. The others were okay, but I think I do like the way he presents everything.********
- everything. He's a big fan of colour and the representation they bring to his storylines and self-supposed meaning.********

- I'm looking forward to this movie.

ok so i'm a fan of shamalamadingdong even though he has to put his stupid self in all the films. that being said i read most of the script, and although it'll surely be a well-crafted story, the premise of the film seems mighty ghey™ to me
- Llyod0
I could go for another smart zombie flick but it's going to do something like morlocks or something
- sputnik20
compared to what i read, morlocks would be an improvement
- locustsloth0
it's interesting how this is being billed (at least in one commercial) as his first rated R movie
- harlequino0
I've read some reviews of pre-screenings on this film. The consensus thus far is that it's his worst film. Worse than the water nymph film, or whatever that was.
There isn't a twist ending like he's done before, but there is a reveal of what's actually happening. I decided that I wouldn't see this anyway so I read the spoiler and laughed about for the rest of the day. It's bad. I'll post it in a note if someone wants to know so not to spoil it for those less cynical (hey I liked Indy so I can't be that cynical).
- i read the spoilers too... made for some big laughs when i told some friends. absolutely awful.7point34

Hmmm...that whole "shymalanadhskjdgkfsghlieuhgieun... is played out, guys.
- harlequino0
Actually, here's the article, it contains the spoilers in there.

I do appreciate the article but I don't totally trust other people when it comes to reviews. Rather just watch the film myself. I notice this happens with many of his films. Everyone I know personally likes his stuff, but a lot of the people outside do not.

"The true disaster on display in The Happening is Shyamalan's career hitting rock bottom."
"The movie is so inept in terms of coherent, cohesive storytelling and in some other filmmaking aspects that it deserves to be laughed off the screen."
"You know those meringue cookies that look so tempting on bakery shelves, the ones that evaporate moments after you pop them in your mouth and leave only the vaguest, unmemorable taste behind? That's The Happening."
- ..I'm stopping my self posting the ultimate spoiler.Jnr_Madison
- please don'temukid
- i will probably watch it. i watch all bad moviesemukid
- I won't, am a cunt but not that much of a cunt..well...Jnr_Madison

"For all his complaints recently about being misunderstood, it seems it's Shyamalan who simply doesn't get us."
"This would all seem like a deliberate, self-parodying joke if it weren't coming from a filmmaker with no sense of humor whatsoever."
"As for The Happening, his throwback horror flick that plays like The Birds meets The Blob, it's beyond good and evil. It's dumbfounding."
"Shyamalan's still trying to take the story seriously—this is, horror of horrors, a message film—but his atypically unmeasured direction is all shock and no awe."
- Still going to watch it because I liked most of his films even though lots of people hated them.Jaline
- his last two movies sucked gynormous donkey balls. other three were quite good.emukid
- I liked The Village. Not sure about Lady In The Water though. Haven't watched it yet, although I like Bryce D. Howard.Jaline
- emukid0
"Shyamalan is a cungmonger that needs to stop making movies."
"This movie was so bad that I didn't feel like wanking off for hours after. Total boner-crusher I tell you."
"After watching this movie I wrote a new will and this review will serve as a suicide note."
"What the fuck, man?"
- sounds rational if you know the ending.Jnr_Madison
- now i must watch it just to see how ridiculous the ending was.emukid
- cungmonger - hahamistermik
- hahahha********

OK, I read the spoiler, and....I don't mind. One of my favourite short stories ends that way. It could actually be done very well.

SPOILER IN NOTEJaline - NO, REALLYJaline
- FOR REALJaline
- DON'T KEEP READING!!!!Jaline
- Okay...Jaline
- I heard he may be actually showing "it" though, which is something I would highly advise against doing. Seems it's too late though :(Jaline
- though, which sucks. But that's not what will bother me, I'm sure. The acting may.Jaline
- Know what....it's partly the audience's fault for expecting amazing things from his endings. Don't watch the film if you don't like his movies.Jaline
- like his movies. I know it's an assholish thing to say, and films are meant to be entertaining, but he's had quite a few out now.Jaline
- ...so an audience member should have an idea of whether or not they like his films yet.Jaline
- (I'm sure I'll be back here later to simultaneously defend and rant about the ending)Jaline
- I still don't understand after 11 notes? What is the ending?
Is it trees?...I'll be so pissed if it's treesmarychain - yeah....plants.Jaline

Guys, it's horrible. HORRIBLE. The acting was so bad I couldn't help but laugh at most of the parts that were supposed to be scary. I was actually a big fan of Mark but the way M.Night directed him it was absolute garbage. I'm not kidding. It was by far the worst acting I think I've seen in 10 years. It makes gigli look like an oscar winner. And the ending... I literally blurted out on the train "WHAT. THE. FUCK!?!" This film had so much potential to be a great film. It was an abomination.
I gotta guy who somehow gets movies straight from his friends at a studio in LA. He gets them for a day and has to send them back. Saw Indy a few weeks ago too. While writing this I'm actually getting mad at how bad the movie was. I kinda feel like it was mocking me for watching it. Thank God I didn't pay for it.
- nooooooooooooooooooo... can usually find something to like....but may not this time.
*tearJaline - hi k0nae-pill
- On the *cough* train?
Since when do they show movies that are in theatres on the train, haha?******** - well seeing as how mrdobolina won't let me say 'iPhone' anymore i have to be ambiguous about it.kona
- hi e-pill!kona
- nooooooooooooooooooo... can usually find something to like....but may not this time.
