Slint. The Flaming Lips. Cat Power (only since she's been off the booze though). Mudhoney. Death from above 1979.

hahah, Cat Power was one of the worst concerts. I like her music and I REALLY wanted to like her singing but she couldn't stop coughing from the cigarette she was smoking on-stage (with her band-mate). Also, she didn't play any of her great singles! More like second-rate songs, which upset me. I still like her music but not sure if I would be enthusiastic about a live show.
- I have heard reports of her hiding under a piano for a whole gig and not actually singing at all.MrOneHundred
- Yeah, that is true. But now she is sober she puts off a great show.sleepyfatso

Saw Max Roach live before he died. It was an open air gig outside the Opera House on Sydney Harbour.
It was heavy... You could tell that this cat played with Miles and Bird.

I don't like Yngwie that much (I appreciate his contributions, however everything after 1986 was boring as hell), but this show is still awesome to me:

Bobby McFerrin with Savion Glover was the most amazing performance I'd ever seen. Beautiful, raw, and effortless.
