Canuck is right (sorta), its been nuts down here the last Month. The war between the Gov/Cartel has been insane. Tourist towns are fine though since tourists aren't a target.
The city where I live (Culiacan) its fucking crazy.come down and visit me Hedge, we can dress you like a cop or rival Cartel, we can see how long you last "Hedge your bets"

Considering this post is about taking time off in beautiful locale, I doubt anyone would choose Culiacan regardless if there's violence. I'm not sure why moldero wants to wear a political war on his sleeve knowing that there are organized forces fighting each other and using that as a justification for what canuck is trying to say.... 'you can get randomly murdered in Mexico'.
With that, you can get murdered just about anywhere, but Canada. So why don't you go visit Canada? Besides Montreal and Toronto everywhere else seems to be stuck in 1979 which makes for a good laugh, eh canuck?

Thanks for contributing absolutely nothing on a subject you obviously know little about Transit.
Read up a bit about whats going on down here and you'll realize, these events are only breeding from Culiacan and are spreading all over Mexico. I've seen people get shot down here. (but yes that was Culiacan) try this: By our beach house a bit north of Mazatlan, beautiful spot, right by 2 world class surf spots, they just recently found a body peppered with ak47 rounds right off the freeway about 1/2km by my house. We all know down here, these aren't random murders, random killings usually don't involve groups of armed guys unloading on a group of unarmed guys with ak47's then shortly afterward launching a bazooka round into the side of the store/building the shooting took place in front of in broad daylight. Google it. its no joke down here. people down here get arrested with grenades and rocket launchers. Tourists down here, hardly leave their resorts, hence they don't really know whats going on down here. Transit, you can learn a bit more about a area if you live in it rather than just read/assume about it.- I am agreeing with you - it's not random. Hedge doesn't own an helicopter yet.. Not sure how he manages to travel yet, but if you ever need a ride, let me know I can arrange for one of my pilots to come and pick you up

I'm actually in no rush to charter/purchase a helicopter. I find private jet travel to be quite a bit more comfortable and relaxing than riding in a helicopter.
