Yes we talked about this to the death but I wanted to ask...
How much can I get if sold these..
Nikon D80 (barely used for less than a year)
Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED-IF AF-S DX VR II Autofocus (with polarized filter)
Nikon 50mm f/2.0

the d80, if i'm not mistaken, is comparable to the digital rebel (eos 300d)

Try fredmiranda.com. You have to pay to use their classified service, but it sounds like you really get good money for your equipment. they might have a better idea of market prices there.

Canon equivalent is probably 40D. You can get 5Ds dirt cheap at the moment though so if you can live with the 3 fps the I would order one from hong kong for under 2k.Full frame ftw. http://www.digitalrev.com had some. Not spam, I just got my 580ex II flash from them and saved $300

i much prefer the 40d personally. much stronger than the plastic 450d. but then again, i am hard on my stuff. the 450d should be quite a bit cheaper in cost though (if that's an issue for you)

biggest hidden difference: 20d/30d/40d has a shutter rated for 100,000 clicks.
300d/350d/400d/450d has a shutter rated for 10,000 clicks.makes a difference if you're going to be shooting pro :D

I am still debating about accepting that cost depreciation on my Nikon which I hardly used and starting fresh with Canon...

the main reason for considering canon is that canon has wider variety of lenses at cheaper price.. while body cost is more than Nikon..

Actually the lens is more important then the body of either the Canon or Nikon. And Canon's lens are superior. I do agree with Meeklo, it's is the individual eye that captures a great photo not the brand of the camera.

I always liked older Nikon lenses much better than Canon ones. Is this different for their digital lenses or do you guys just like Canon lenses better in general.
