Anyone had the problem on a mac, when an external device will only appear on the desktop when mounted and not in the finder devices list?
How do re add it to the devices list?

is it only this one or every other device you plug in?
are you sure it's not the finder prefs?

every external drive mounts on the desktop, but does not mount in the devices list in the finder window.

Take a screw driver (appropriate slot and size) and take everything apart.
