I'm surprised at how open some of you are being with information here - I'd never dream of making it so easy for people in the public domain to draw lines between me here and my family out there.
- information wants to be free********
- who cares? you will never meet mebliznutty
- It's not me or you you should concern yourself with, bliznutty - it's Them and Your Dad.
Not my problem. good luck.detritus - i thought this earlier toomaximillion_
- i don't get it?bliznutty
- If you don't, then there's no point in my gassing on. It's just something I'd be very wary of doing.detritus

My dad moans a lot. Used to have a garage equipment repair workshop...
My grandfather on my mother's side is a mad obsessive guy who collects photos from the 1800s, but they're all of a very small suburb of sheffield – basically just crazilly into local history. As stainless steel was invented in sheffield, he collects knives and blades and scissors and stuff. I know I'm going to turn into him one day. Also, he has photoshop 5.5 and I was showing him some stuff on it the other day. Crazy. 86 years old and asking me why the brightness / contrast stuff doesn't stay live on your images.
Suppose I should update him with CS3 – at least he could use the adjustment layers.

my old man's a retired electrician...worked at a Johnson & Johnson's factory in Peterborough Ontario before it packed up and moved to Mexico (free trade)
now he's retired and spends his time doing some light superintendent work at some buildings around town, renovating the house and voraciously reading all the news he can find online...
loves to tinker..loves to explore the internet...
tres tres cool guy...

my dad just does business management. Has worked for companies like GM, Nike, Hanes.
The only relative I have known to be involved in a creative job is a cousin I've met only twice. He's also a graphic designer working on mostly editorial design.
yep. my whole family is rancid and lack any vision and taste.

To be honest my dad is a bit of a douche and pissed off to Canada over 20 years ago. None of my family are creative which makes me wonder where I got my want to be a graphic designer from. It does give me reason for being not very good though.
