You're interviewing with 50 places and your portfolio is almost 200 pages? Ambitious! Good luck.

nah dude... its a little book that has all my stuff plus some photos and random shit. and Im not going to 50 places. I wish, I just figured if I did it with a printer, the minimum would be 50 books I guess.

Kinkos can do Perfect Bound.. but ours has to send it off.. And I don't know if I trust the quality of Kinkos. They told me once its like a 3 day turn around.

you guys are awesome! thanks for all the tips and stuff. I'll show you the final book if I ever get it done.

Where you interviewing in New York? =P

3 advertising agencies and 2 design studios for now... and I have like 10 more places I want to go so Im just planing on going there and knock on the door, and if they dont wanna see me, I just throw my (if I ever make ) pocket size book at their windows

kinkos does perfect bind.
then again it is kinkos. go with antigirl's suggestions. everything she touches turns to gold and by giving you the advice she is touching them by proxy so you can expect at least bronze.

why is printing this shit so painful... I think the binding part is gonna be less painfull... I have 2 computers at the office trying to print this book, one is still thinking of printing from indesign and the other one is trying to print it from acrobat. painful times

I bumped a thread from a few weeks ago about DIY bookbinding. There are some great links in there for tutorials.

If you can be flexible in size try http://www.lulu.com

You can get them made thru iPhoto now too. But you are limited to size. They are pretty cheap though.
I'm just using staples and tape. It's pretty clean, and I've built several really quick.- My site, thats been sitting for years, will be updated real soon.dirtydesign

Well I totally forgot about this awesome thread and how awesome all you QBNers were with all the help. So here's the book. the last one I have of 20 I made. Like some of you know my external hardrive died and I lost all my data, so I dont have the indesign file for this book anymore. Im glad I decided to kept one copy of it.
thank you all for all the advice and help.
19 of the books are inside different agencies in new york.
I can say the book is out of print. lol
