Clayhouse Vineyard from Paso Robles/central coast. Very very smooth red blend. It's been a while since I've had a good bottle. I've been drinking Ravenswood which is overpowering. What are your favorites?

I tried a really nice Californian wine when I was in Chicago a couple of years back, but I was too drunk to remember what it was called.

I like blends mostly. Rosemount GSM (grenache syrah mourvedre) is one of my top ones.

I like too many to list! Mostly local wines from Western Australia where I live. Clairault, Gralyn, Watershed, Higher Plane, Berry Farm, Vasse Felix etc. Mostly from Margaret River region. Totally love ports and fortifieds too.
- Yes, Margaret River wines are generally very good.MrOneHundred

Drinking a Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon as we speak. I generally love Mondavis, and I've been countered on this this evening, but tonight it tastes a bit lighter than I prefer. Still quite good though.

I agree with Hort that Yellow Tail is ass...it's machine picked, yuck...
You can't go wrong with a good australian shiraz thats been sitting for at least two years...try Penfolds as a Yellow Tail alternative
- yup, the Rawson's Retreats are quality everyday wines.

I like to drink local wines becuase you can park your self at the cellar door and taste everything before you buy. Its good to take a book and write down what you like too. I generally only buy singles on the day to try again later so that I dont bring home cases of crap. Most reputable wines taste good after a few hours in a few wineries :)

Latelly i´m in love with Navarre red cabernet sauvignon and merlot wines, young or crianzas, but love el Coto de Imaz (Rioja) too...
Anyway, the kind of wines i drink more frecuently are navarre or catalonian chardonnay young wines.
Allways drink spanish wines, very good price-quality option, but time to time spend a bit of money on french burdeos red and chardonnay wines...
