Hey, I'm not saying I want simple violence there, only that the episode almost didn't have that factor that makes a story believable. It reminded me of this classic cliche of a poisoned man who needs an antidote in 23654 seconds because according to a scientist's calculations in 23655 he'll die.
Minkowski just died from lack of constant, I'll get one and will survive.. Sayid will macgyver me a phone with a minute of batteries.. I know it's tv, but come on!
Time travelling - ok, but why that complicated? Body heals, womb ages, smoke corrects, Walt is an exception.. It just seems to have too many patches for me :)

I agree about the Sayid thing but this is not the first episode for something like that to occur. I think it's better when I don't look into every little mistake of the show, as there I am hoping that many of the larger issues will be explained in some way eventually. Hopefully in a way that makes some sense. And yes, you can make time travel make sense, even if it is complicated ;)

I'm not totally understanding what you mean by this. Maybe it's just me, but (to me) it seems that "Lost" isn't exactly a show that makes sense all the time and doesn't always have believable storylines. They are so good at writing and acting that it makes you want to believe it.

This reminds me of Michael York as Basil Exposition, Chief of British Intelligence explaining time travel implications to Austin Powers, who got dizzy trying to grasp the theory:
"Austin, I suggest you don't worry too much about it. Just sit back and enjoy yourself. And [turning to the camera] that goes for you folks too."
Austin: "Yes." [Cheesy grin, then back to the plot.]
- I have Rafalski in my lineup for my NHL Pool (with fellow QBNers) and he is injured right now. Get with it, rafs'! ;)Jaline

I guess this whole "time travelling consciousness" thing explains all the random people that the losties have been seeing on the island. They were simply experiencing it on a partial level.

When that movie came out, I remember me and my friends were convinced there was a real hovering skateboard coming out soon that you could buy. But we were like 11 or 12 at the time, and pretty stupid.
- Jaline0
They should totally have one on the island. In fact, the island itself should use a hover board to travel to different places, and that is one of the reasons why the island dwellers can't get home...

I notice that time travel theory doesn't mention things like the '4 toed statue'...
- jkmohr0
yeah it does. you guys aren't reading the next page on that site.
"Q: On a lighter note - got any explanations on the four toed statue?
A: This is just speculation, but I believe the status was created by the natives (now the Others) way back in the early 1900’s. We can assume that their leader had only 4 toes, and the statue was made in his liking. However, once DHARMA came to the island, they destroyed the statue because they wanted to be the main inhabitants of the island. They blew it up and tried to bury the remains underwater. However, once the Others killed off DHARMA in the purge, they were able to find part of the remains (the four toed foot)."
- ehhhhh...I'm not quite buying that.harlequino
- yeah, some of the theory is sketchy. this being one of those partsjkmohr

^ This is one of the problems with waiting until a whole season is finished before watching it. I'd rather watch a show like "Lost" all on DVD because you get instant gratification (well....as much as this show actually answers questions), but you also want to watch the episodes as they air because you can keep up with the storylines and theories everyone else is discussing.

That whole time loop theory is pretty good, but it seems like a lot of holes in there as well.
Where is this guy getting some of that information - Ben's mom's backstory, Naomi being sent back in time from 2007 to 2004, details on the inhabitants of the Black Rock, etc.
Is any of this covered or revealed in the online Lost Experience, that runs along side the seasons? I never followed any of that.- Not sure, but I wouldn't mind if he made it up. Some of it seems to fit...Jaline

I'm watching season 4, episode 5 right now on Sky. It's starting to get pretty nuts.

Juliet's episode was decent. Not as great as it has been lately, but still interesting. I like her, and I absolutely LOVE character development.
Ben's one scary mofo.

I <3 Juliet so much
