Have you tried sticking a wad of something between the painful teeth and slowly increasing the bite pressure down onto it? Like a square of hardwood or something? It hurts at first, but once you acclimatise and begin to bite down harder it actually stops the pain. I do that a lot with my wisdoms... I still have them all at 38 and they bring painful episodes here and there.
- Might try it when I run out of chewing gum, but sounds pretty bad...ian

Hot salt water mouth rinse, and a little wad of tissue, or cotton ball soaked in Anbesol, the good 20% stuff. Also, and weird as it sounds, a reflexology method of pinching your 'opposite' finger to the side the tooth is on, above the end knuckle, at the sides of the nail - takes about 15% off the pain after about 5 mins. Pinch real hard..
Ive been in agony before with no cash and no med insurance.
Last dentist visit I had 20 xrays, and 4.5 hrs of deep cleaning scaling.. Brush, mouthwash and floss. Let us know how it goes, you have my full sympathy !- It's weird how the nerves in your face connect all over the body.Mimio

I set a new record last week - The oral surgeon of 30 years had never seen it before.
I have TEN wisdom teeth (6 on top, 4 on bottom). He didn't paint the best picture for the extraction either (I'm really hoping he was just give me a worst case scenario). From possible fractured jaw, numbness of face for a month or more, dry sockets etc...
They get ripped out March 13 10:30am.- 734... you have a video link to post here I think.Studiospooky
- Holy shit! Do you have shark genes? Jesus I thought mine was bad enough!ian

dude, nasty. Never heard of anbesol but I'll check it out later. Been doing the salt water rinse and finding that its helping, so is the chewing gum (just distracting me).
Woke up at 2.30 this morning with the pain and couldn't get back to sleep, so played video games till my girlfriend woke up for breakfast :)
