Unfortunately I hate both your names, first and last, and couldn't get any further than that...

You'll want to pick up the pace at which the Polariod-esque frames appear.

jevad - wtf? what a helpful reply.
tara - yeah
madirish - yeah it is it just doesn't always work!
everyone else - thanks a lot for the great advice: sound more confident, make it work in more browsers and jig around the rest of the animations a little.
i'll get on it and post again!
- And make your web pages in html not javascript.jonatne
- urm, can i ask why? i know that there are seo reasons but what else is there?mickeybliss16
- unless youre using ajax or doing something dynamic there's no need.********
- basically theres no need.. obviously if it works, it works..jonatne
- what if i user has javascript turned off?jonatne
- -a user-jonatne
- I guess so, although that said almost nothing else on the site would work if they had javascript turned off, this way i'm free to add any non javascript stuff in the page really easily without interfering and cluttering my main site structuremickeybliss16

ok, wow that's great that you're doing all this at a young age.
My advice would be to have a look around at sites that you like for inspiration, look at them carefully, and note all the details you like about them and compare them to yours. I just think your design needs a bit more sophistication, work on making that notepad more stylistic or more realistic, play around with some different wood grain backgrounds and have fun with typefaces. Good luck and it's a great start!

thanks tara, i know what you mean about needing more sophistication, i hope that adding a logo to the sign bit would do help with this. thanks again.

is there any content besides lorem ipsum?
- mickeybliss160
yeah, click the close button at the top right, although i've not filled in the portfolio stuff yet
- mickeybliss160
I've made a few little jigs to the css, please have a shufty to see if it works for you! thanks

The aligment is correct in IE and FF on a pc.
You should call "close" something else on the first screen and increase the fade in rate of the polaroids.
- jonatne0
at least you have this
<!--
WTF?
Where's all the structure gone? Don't worry - it's stored nicely nicely up there in the javascripts
-->
- mickeybliss160
jonatne - i've added some non javascript goodness just now, what do you reckon? does it work for you without javascript turned on?
- though obviously it doesnt have all the cool effects etcmickeybliss16
- it does work.. doesnt look great but at least all of the information will be therejonatne
- mickeybliss160
oh yeah, please don't say anything about the preloader styles, i've not got round to styling that properly yet - i want to get the usability sorted better first.
- mickeybliss160
i've added a few extra things including random positions for the polaroids and a navigation menu, what do you think now?
- Tara0
i can't get further than enter site the next page loads up with the menu at the bottom but nothing else
- mickeybliss160
weird. this is annoying! it works fine for me. :(
- mickeybliss160
how about now?
- Tara0
same
