"Cable and cell phone services has been suspended in most of the country. Rumors are flying of curfews. No word from Musharraf, yet."

Fucking loonies, charging around steadfast that their belief that there is an unprovable non-existent guy who lives in the sky and who decided in his ultimate wisdom to only reveal himself to one person hundreds of years ago, and who it turns out gets real angry about things like food, and who says its alright to commit murderous acts for somewhat arbitrary reasons, when clearly it is not. Either they are right, and this bloke in the sky is a somewhat inconsistent, perversely hidden, pernicious egoist who rewards idiocy and murder with 72 awkward virgins, or they and anyone who believes anything like ANY of this outdated childish garbage is wrong, and should be eradicated from our schools, governments and planet.
And please, no religious apologists, either you buy this bloke in the sky business and associated divine instruction, or you don't, there's no middle ground. And don't tell me this was purely a politically motivated killing, because the politics are driven by the fairy-tale.- why are the virgins awkward?harlequino
- agreed ...
and those guys need to get laid and fast ....Ramanisky2 - virgins are always akward, I think the desirable part of the virginity in this case is that they have tight fannies. Which I guess is important if you have a tiny penis, and no access to email.mikotondria2

More proof the US has no idea what it is doing in that part of the world...we give how many billions to that government, then we push Bhutto to go back and run for office, then the US-subsidized military rulers (probably) assasinate her...
- if only there was a country that explicitly banned the union of the church and the state...mikotondria2

Is pakistan not to blame at all for their problems, or does it always have to be the old US's fault for every fucking problem that happens in this world? If you know me at all, you know my politics, but give me a break on blaming the US for every fucking thing.
- they're all jealous cause they don't have the balls to move here.mikotondria2
- You needn't worry about it. They just feel their uneducated opinion is necessary to voice.JesseJensen
- Not saying US wanted her killed...saying US gives billions to the military gov there, which has its hands in all kinds of shitukit
- ukit, US admin views on Pakistan were very clear. Washington supported her.Witt
- Yep, but they also gives $ to help prop up Musharaff...ukit
- I'm sure other nations do as well.mrdobolina

- ... let some other countries solve THEIR OWN SHIT for once...PonyBoy
- like US weren't all over the map for starters. Get real: it's a puzzle of which you'll never see all the pieces.Witt
- so, pakistan has no responsibilty for providing adeaquate security for their candidates...mrdobolina
- g point dobs - but that is a rhetorical question. Can we escape western POV? or is this bollocks?Witt
- thing is, most countries agree in a common pov (ONU?); thing is, some parties don't saying pov biased. that's the story.Witt
- [that's the] story. And why things do not work. Some countries feel invaded in their ways.Witt
- How do you feel about me influencing you on which US candidate to vote next year?Witt
- I'm always down to hear people's ideas.mrdobolina
- Whatever dobs, all I was saying was that our policy in Pakistan is incoherent...not that we are responsible...no one said that.ukit

I just hate Bush's comment of bringing the killers "to Justice". That makes me more sick than the killing because I fear even more killing will come of it.... I tire of hearing how the US must bring everyone "to Justice". It's too bad US seems to be losing its separation between Church and State.
Some things in life seem to inconsequential compared to what's happening around the world...- Yes, I know I have a hodge-podge of comments here, just figured I'd get them out all at once.jfletcher

There's a certain kind of courage in that woman that I admire - Although her record (and her husband's) was far from being immaculate where fair politics, human-rights and democracy is involved - the fact that she wanted to impose western ways in her country against all the secular and religious adversaries makes her death somewhat expected. Either it took a lot of guts or she thought her western friends could back her - and fact is they cannot. The sad part of this story is that the west liberally pushes its ways into realms where secular leaders do not appreciate its lifestyle and all of this seems like a never ending story.
- mikotondria20
Yes, bring the killers 'to justice', lock them up, wipe them out, put them in a room with a big pile of rucksacks on one side and a big pile of explosives on the other, then just hose the place down when they build their 'instant virgins' vests.

Candidates SHOCKED by killing!
http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS…
The photo gallery of their expressions is priceless in this sad, sick, weird way. Especially if you make up gasping noises to go with them, and then end with an elephant sound when you get to Dodd at the end.

its times like this I'm really disappointed in humans in general. Its also unfortunate that times like this means times like every day.
