so whats your view on the current design scene in the netherlands? Ive always had great respect for dutch design in general especially graphics. What are some good and respectable studios in the major cities? like studio dumbar, exp. jetset etc etc...

Hi
- Witt0
i have this romantic notion that the Neds panorama consists more of small creative shops than big mainstream studios. but that's just how it should be and prolly not how it is.

If you go there, they will make you speak
niederländisch!

Am glad I'm not there anymore...
I find that once you're "in" the scene it's actually very staid and much of a muchness.

(Nov 6 07, 15:06)It's a great idea. I agree with that for any EU country 100%. Immigrants must speak the language of the welcoming place. No ghettoes ffs.
It's not only a matter of defense (minor issue coz they can all speak in klingon if they want), but as a matter of principle and productivity.
It may be a bit racist? I don't think so. honestly I don't. Any European knows that you have to be a Roman in Rome and that principle has always been within our culture.
Europeans visiting the most strange of the European bunch always try to mingle and speak the language of the place. Even the French do! (ahah!). True. Always. It's like some gentlemanly issue. E. g. the English always try to speak portuguese when they come here. Everytime. And we appreciate it. Like any people does.
I think moving to a country and being obliged to speak the language is a cool respectful move. If you don't like maybe you don't belong to it.
It's a fair rule, ihmo.

as soon as you can flawlessly pronounce the word "inburgeringscursus" you're in.
i mean, that is pure irony.
the word translated as integration course is probably the hardest.
i do not wish this lingual terror upon my worst foreign enemies.
not even neue!
;)
