i thought i was going crazy, what the fuck, i thought i was seeing spots until it hit me that they were 'dead pixels'
is it just me or when you scroll down the text stays blurry? nice effect but shit... that whole site made me want to go to the eye doctor.

it's a nice site but the execution seems a little off to me, its painfully slow on my dual core g5/4gbram/firefox and the UI breaks down when you try to click a link to the work and the image loads above the fold but the page stays scrolled down and the scroll wheel is disabled. The deadpixel thing is a bit gimmicky, but it doesnt totally ruin it for me.
If this were a company/corporate/business site, I would say its pretty ineffective, but since it's a personal portfolio site I think it's aight, dig the pallet, type and UI (minus the complaint above).

oh and to your point about it being a rip? I couldn't say. I know I've seen tut's for that blur scroll thing before, and the UI is pretty standard, but couldn't say if it were a direct rip or not.
