if she does it, half of the people here will be listening in 5/10 years to her music, talking about her recording legacy as one of the purest forms of classical pop music.
Phrases like, "oh britney was doing that 10 years ago" or "mistress spears died, and she took real pop music with her" will become common.
rappers diddy / west / 50 cent will be jumping around on stages everywhere doing mash ups / remixes of some of her "classics"...

She had maybe two good songs. Can't deny her impact on music. However, she was overrated before, just like many other bands I would talk about but I know I would be bashed. You're probably right about her martyrdom, Meeklo.

She's always been a puppet. It's pretty sad. I'd like to see her lay down a single line on a guitar or piano.

So people only hate Avril Lavigne because she's annoying?
Because I'm pretty sure she writes a lot of her own music. At least that's how she got so popular, and that's what she has been claiming for years now. And then she collaborated with larger names for her other albums. I believe it.

I'm not fond of Avril Lavigne because I'm not 14 anymore. It's only another brand of pop music, which I've never been fond of with the sole exception of Dido. But that's just me ;)
