very nice, and i like the chunky style.

Aye, its a personal preference but the loadbars look a little clunky like they came from flashkit, which is a shame cos the rest of it, the nav etc is really cool. They don't need to be 1 px or anything, just a little more refined.

I agree with what others have been saying though, it just needs a little refinement, thinner loadbars and smaller fonts but good stuff!

-------nonsense about the thinner loadbars etc.
they are only saying that so it is "in style" with everything that is being knocked out these days.
keep it your own dude!
that way its original!

Weird, after you posted checked again and it worked fine! That was odd...
Anywho, good work there. I like the ferry corsten site, especially the quirky motion up top!

well done.
nice site and good use of flash.
not too whizzbang and not too boring.its a very 'mature' site for you just being a freelancer. it looks like its a BIG companies site that theyve invested a lot of time and money on.

what does not work in ff2? I know that for some reason in fullscreen it does not work work well in ff2, any ideas why? :-P
- ian0
I think I broke it. Wont work for me, FF2 OSX

tnx
thanks for the constructive feedback, i appreciate it a lot :-)I am already working on some improvements.
Regarding font size, considering the fact that screen resolutions are rizing i wanted to prevent the same thing happening to my old site: it looks like a stamp now, so tiny :-).

it's okay. the nav wasn't apparent at first

so that's what the plus sign was for.
- nadnerb0
oh i see now, the + is supposed to be turning to an x .
Didn't catch that. . . probably doesn't matter really.
I don't think the instructions for viewing projects are necessary - it's pretty self - explanatory, as it should be. A visitor shouldn't need instructions on how to see your work.

nice. . .
I agree with what someone said about the "chunky" thing. . . personal preference, but if buttons and loaders and things were just a tad slimmer, fonts 1 or 2 points smaller etc. it might feel more "elegant" or "modern" or whatever. . . Also yeah, the plus should change to a minus when you enter a project, so you know that clicking takes you back.

I like it.

Web 2.0 with a bit of flashiness. Love it. Good job. Love the portfolio navigation.

really nice and clean. for the style of work that is in your portfolio, I think the style of the site matches that quite well. Overall, however, everything is a little big/clunky for my taste. If you pull in the spacing and make the fonts a little smaller it may open things up. Im on my 15 in powerbook, so I might have answered differently on my larger monitor....just a thought, keep up the good work

Nice job. I like the originality of how you're showing the project details. I wonder how it would look without the video background. Should the plus change to a minus when you're closing an item?

I like it. There is one small detail I would change in the about section.
When You click the links in the left box the picture comes down, I think it would be good to have the text come up in the same fashion on the opposite side. and when the picture comes up the text would go down. I didn't realize the text changed at first because the image caught my eye
anyway my 2cents

good stuff dude. not a lot to comment on. one small thought though: maybe adjust the Fullscreen button so when you're in fullscreen the arrows point in?
