it's not like you're alone - we've just sold them £6bn worth of Eurofighters - if we/you hadn't - the Russians/Chinese probably would anyway.
then they'd get the oil. when they get the oil, they'd get the power. Then when they'd gotten the power, then they'd get the women.

Who wants Saudi women? They walk around wearing chimneys over themselves.
Maybe if these Muslims had some decent gash to play with, they wouldn't want to travel around blowing themselves up?
Did you ever think of that then?

Well, i don't know about all this arms trade stuff, but I do love a good soundtrack when i'm looking at a website.

i like how they topped it with a 30 billion deal with isreal just to give them the edge, a little more politically appropriate now. assholes.

When you read about all the seemingly insane things the US does in that part of the world you have to wonder if it's part of some really well thought out strategy that's so politically unsavory (oil, etc) that they can't be straight with the public about it.. or if they're all just a bunch of idiots.

the US is simply sowing the seeds of peace.

Andy,
Your racism is intriguing. Not all Middle-Eastern countries are the same. For example: In Saudi Arabia, women don't have to cover themselves. A lot of them wear western clothes, live in modern cities, and enjoy western-style lives. (movies, music, fast food, etc) They have educations.
I'm not saying SA is not corrupt, or for that matter, that they should have these weapons. But the way you group every muslim country together shows you know nothing of the muslim world and culture. therefore your opinions are worthless on the subject. That's it. As you were.

I hear you soler I'm sick of the ignorance.

It's all a political mess of power and greed - everywhere, not just the US. We just happen to be the biggest and have elected the largest fool.
I remember in the first Iraq war when France wouldn't fly over their air space because they had sold the missiles to them, or something like that (surely that's incorrect, but it was something that made me think about the $$ and countries roles).
Point being, everyone everywhere is doing it. It is a huge chess game of power and money.
Nobody in power wants you to see that people have very similar ideals, morals, etc., etc., the world over. That would lead you to believe that it's just the people in power that are thirsty for control.
We couldn't have that.

It's ok they got Isreal's blessing. After all it's to keep Iran in their seat.

so the US is basically siding with Saudi over Iran...no surprise there if that shit continues...
- Llyod0
notice how 90% of the 911 terrorists were Saudis? SA funds terror. They house militant mullahs who teach their children hate.
The SA royals are sitting on a powderkeg they'll need to weapons to use on their own population at some point.
- Soler0
If anything is going to help the region, it's huge amounts of weapons and money funneling into both sides via the U.S. I see no problems here.
- Soler0
You can't blame the Saudis for agreeing to this deal. You think it was their idea? It's that of the U.S. Their military is essentially OUR military. The US runs the bases over there- that's 1 of bin Ladens problems with the U.S. - the fact that the "infidels" have their army in a muslim state. SA trusts the US over anyone else militarily. SA and Kuwait played along and let us make huge oil profits, so they get protection in return. Iran and Iraq didn't, and they get bombed.
