When you read about all the seemingly insane things the US does in that part of the world you have to wonder if it's part of some really well thought out strategy that's so politically unsavory (oil, etc) that they can't be straight with the public about it.. or if they're all just a bunch of idiots.

the next prez will just continue the same strategy in a more subdued manner, they'll change the rhetoric shuffle the issues around. Bush's legacy has changed us politics for ever, congress and demorats put there balls up their ass on purpose while the administration broke the rules for everyone. now they can break the rules too.

as things go, the bush doctrine will probably go down in history as a brilliant strategy. unfortunately he'll have dragged america through the muck to get there.
I just wish we had electric cars, the world be a much better place in several ways if they were around en masse.
