Who uses a tablet? Do you like it and why? What brand/model is it?
I need to get one. The last one I had was an old Wacom back in the day. It was huge and crap.
I'll mostly be using it in Photoshop.
Thanks,

I use a relatively old Wacom Intuos tablet. I alternate back and forth btwn mouse and tablet, but use tablet exclusively to paint, draw, roto, etc. I find it well worth the money as it saves my wrist from using the mouse all the time.

i use a wacom, widescreen version
i love it, but you gotta have space for it
the newer ones are better than the older ones as far as sensitivity, misclicks, etc (i used an older one for a while too)

I use a 4x6 one (think that's right) and love it. The size is nice; had a large one back in the day and couldn't use it.

i use 4x6 bluetooth one at home. it comes handy. i need to get a better pen though.

Thanks for the feedback... It seems Wacom is the only way to go.
Is the 4x6 a little too small or is it just right?

oops, i actually have 6x8. i think anything smaller than that would be hard to use.
i'd get 6x11. B&H sometimes have refurbished one for really cheap. you may wanna look into that.

I too feel that anything smaller than 6 x 8 is a bit strange. The screen to tablet ratio is just too far apart. But if you can, give it a test run somewhere and see how you like it.

That is one of the problems around here, I can't go out and test them because no one sells them. Downside to a small town.

my calcomp has more lines of sensitivity than the wacoms

has anyone used the cintque? I was wondering how well it performs as a monitor. It's big, and widescreen, so if you spent 2000 bucks on it, could you use it as your only monitor?

just got an intuos3 for my burfday. i have only used it for 15 min. i kinda like it.

I'm using Cintiq mainly for sketching, but also as a second display (running Windows for testing alongside a Mac)... but I wouldn't recommend it as a primary display for anything where you aren't using the pen...... it has a slightly milky appearance, not as good contrast or clarity as a Cinema Display or Dell 20"

calcomp pads have greater sensitivity and more lines per inch
