i think more important than job market is where you actually want to live your life. what sort of things do you like doing? outdoors stuff, city stuff? your wife says NO to california, though that would be my first choice. many people that don't live there think California = Los Angeles, but northern california is among the most beautiful places to live. i would never live in indiana. i would never live in jersey. pennsylvania is ok, but wouldn't want to live there! florida has something in their drinking water that makes them insane (except OSFA and CALLES, of course).

portfolio sites as containers for other work. If you find a container that works simply and transparently, use it. OK, change it a little, but use what works
