9 yrs commercial experience.
I've had my US work permit for three days and I'm just starting the big push for a job. Looking mainly in the Indianapolis area to start with but thinking about looking further afield. Thought about FL/NJ/PA. Anyone know the markets there? Any jobs? Where do you recommend? Not CA, the wife says “NO”. How about OR? EH? HMM. I have ten thousand questions but my brain is melting. I need sleep (3:12am here now).
It's taken me almost four years to get round to updating my website (due to work demands) but I've finally done it, thanks to plenty Heineken and a comfy couch. The site build is a bit crude (I'm a print designer with a little web experience) but then I only need prospective employers to see the work.
Any comments/criticism (on the work and site) also appreciated. Thanks a billion.
P.S. I like parentheses, can you tell? I sound quite coherent for the amount of Heineken I've consumed.
P.P.S. Nobody's actually read this far have they?
Regards,

great work! you'll have no problems getting a job.
i like the site too. nice menu on home page, great colours and shows of your work well. one little thing... it would be nice to not have use the browser back button to go back to the menu... could you not have some nice text links within each of the sections?

good work... have you thought about staying on that page all the time... and just expanding the strip you are on... would be a killer app then too :)

hello.
i think that you need to cut some of your work out. i dont think it is necessary to show some weaker stuff when you have stronger stuff to rely on.
eg. having the James Kelman (Author) Book Jackets / 1998 doesnt add or enhance the way you are perceived. personally, i think it has a negative effect.
your print stuff is far stronger than your web stuff... which is to be expected as you said you are a print designer. again, i would cut some of that out too.
i think you should focus on the best of your work - with the option of making that work bigger. i think around 8-10 of your best pieces is enough.
in saying that... its just what i think, and what the hell do i know?

Great stuff, 5timuli! Good to see such an extensive body of work so readily accessible.
I was beginning to get a little depressed at the sheer quantity of your output, but then, it is 13 year's worth (I keep telling myself!).
I too have slight reservations about the quality of the Kelman book covers (only because they're so shockingly 90s :) and would maybe want for a section title within each page, but generally, I really can't think what else one would want from a designer's portfolio - everything else is just gimmickry.
I doff my hat in your general direction.
