i usually don't care for these threads, but stumbled on people praising this "tm82" work on virb... pretty funny:
http://www.iso50.com
http://www.tm82art.combuddy even used a Tycho-like loop for the background music.

i don't get it. Does this guy think people aren't going to notice or something?
- neue75_bold0
at a quick glance, the other guy seems better... not that that's saying much.. but yes, def a rip...
- flavorful0
I think the guy even uses the same bear in one of his prints as Scott does... haha.
- Rand0
who's ISO50?
- dopepope0
what exactly is the rip? I see someone inspired by ISO50... I see similarities in their design style... but because he's lesser known, he's a ripper? His work is really great.
- r_mutt0
they're both quite boring, aren't they?
- Mimio0
"The Artist" section is an amusing read. Way to try and disarm criticism.

hahahaha
troll baby troll

i have posters like that overlap shit, not a bear, but colors style are similar, and if anyone ever called them a rip, they'd be wrong.
i think a lot of people that go on about rips usually are wrong too.

don't let your narrow vision of the design community convince you that everyone is inspired by the 10 people you won't stop inter-stalking.
if you want inspiration, stop browsing "featured sites" websites, cancel your design magazine subscriptions, and see what your mind comes up with when you stop over saturating yourself with others work

and that would be...
nothing
- Jaline0
not really...

fact:
anyone who says, "i dont look at other peoples works, im inspired directly by nature and bits of shit i find in the street" is a complete liar.
- bcline0
i'd definately put this in the category of a person trying to emulate a designer a little too much.....crazy

It's not even borrowing or "being influences" it's reorginization and regurgitation. For this guy to say that he didn't use ISO50 as a template for his work would be a total lie. It's all there, right down to the compositions.

I got some ISO50 prints hanging up. I think they are dope.
The music I am not entirely keen on, but I do like some of the Nautilus stuff.
- version30
trev, you have a flaw in your theory.
who inspired the first artists?
it was nature, life, and personal opinion (something tells me this is still occurring in todays world)
your desire to emulate what you see should not be portrayed onto others, especially those you do not know
- jevad0
that is a total fucking rip - both of scott hansens website, and his work. That guy should be ashamed.
- version30
based on jevads statement, the iso link that should have been given is
yes they are a lot alike
