He's part of Universal Everything in a post-post-modernist way.
So it's cool.

the key to originality isnt being 'original'. it's how well you hide your sources.
trev
(Apr 23 07, 14:03was that from "How to Be a Graphic Designer without losing your soul" or "Freakonoomics"?
:D

designerror
(Apr 23 07, 14:19)haha....sorry...carry on.
- designerror0
People here spend so much time yelling out who rips who. Who really gives a flying fuck!?! Does it make you taller or does your burger taste better because you found someone who is inspired by someone else, who is properly inspired somewhere else.
Stop starting rip off threads ffs! They don't contribute to anything good around here.

trev, you have some hot work there yourself. Nice.
- Mimio0
In this case it was hidden very well.

version5, im going out on a limb here to assume that the first artists are now all dead. there's no chance of them saying anything. so its not flawed.
we're all inspired by others. the people who were an inspiration to us layed down the foundations, and its that which allows the next generation to continue creating new material.
im sure there's some people out there that are still carving shit into cave walls and drawing with sticks in sand.. but things have moved on a bit since then.

I'm actually unfamiliar with the design of ISO's site, so if it's a site layout issue then I really can't argue. I do know and admire ISO's work a great deal. And work that good has got to influence the shit out of people, no doubt. Maybe this guy takes it to the extreme, but I do like it.

iso50's music is a direct rip of BoC, btw imo lol

based on jevads statement, the iso link that should have been given is
iso50.com/iso50.html
yes they are a lot alike
version5
(Apr 23 07, 13:51)yeah sorry v5 i was gonna update my post with the correct link but figured most would be familiar with the main ISO50 site.
- jevad0
That's a newer version - his odler version was exactly the same - I remember it well.
dopepope - I agree with you to some extent. Perhaps I wouldn't be so shocked if he hadn't have ripped off scotts website so well...
- dopepope0
ISO50 isn't the originator of that style in any way shape or form. It can easily be argued that ISO50 is a rip as well.
Striking similarities yes, but does it have to be deemed a rip and automatically hated on? It's that I just don't understand. The work is actually good. There's effort showing, there's talent showing. None of that accounts for anything?

that is a total fucking rip - both of scott hansens website, and his work. That guy should be ashamed.
- version30
trev, you have a flaw in your theory.
who inspired the first artists?
it was nature, life, and personal opinion (something tells me this is still occurring in todays world)
your desire to emulate what you see should not be portrayed onto others, especially those you do not know

I got some ISO50 prints hanging up. I think they are dope.
The music I am not entirely keen on, but I do like some of the Nautilus stuff.
