I really like the first one.
- studderine0
i like the simplicity of number four.
- studderine0
number four is easy to read as well. yea!
- ChankD0
Thanks guys.
Numero 4 is what I'm thinking so far.
- akrok0
yeah no.4 looks good, I guessing a litel bit tricky when it comes to the envalope part. heh. plus bleed on envalope it expensive.

4,2,3,1. I don't like the word 'neato'. but i did like the texture of 2.
- oldelpaso0
1 by far..
but lose the 'neato' or rethink the copy.
although it looks mor elike a web interface than a print CV
also u need to look at the size of the type on the envelope.. maybe push it up a couple of numbers..
rumour has it that designers have to spend countless hours retouching single pixels, and concentrating on tiny increments on editorials + webbies - by the time they come to read your letter, they might not be fucked to squint or put too much brain work in readin tiny type.. (although dont go silly - and make it huge). a couple of points maybe? (10pt(S) on 12pt(L))

Give yourself a GENEROUS margin on your resumes, as some printers will cut off a bunch of your text... and unless you're having them printed/trimmed/mailed, you have no control over how the end product gets output to paper, ...could be a high-qualitylaser, could be an old inkjet.
- forcetwelve0
4 for sure. nice one.
- forcetwelve0
also - think about when your letterhead gets hole punched. leave yourself some left hand side.
- horton0
#4 without doubt.
although nix the blue on the CV, shouldn't be any color on it (imo).
- coulstring0
Four / quatre / vier /τέσσε... / quattro / cuatro ....etc

version 1 has the strongest combination/use of typography. Having strong typography is, in my opinion, really important on a resume – as it is, simply, type.
The language needs a lot of work. "neato" and "sweet" are not only silly, but why use adjectives to describe your own work? A bit like patting yourself on the back – let your work speak to your talent.
Also, I do favor the use of your name, large, on the resume – however, you likely don't need your name 3 or 4 times on the resume.
get a return address on that envelope. point size is debatable, the US postal service will put up with a lot – but if its going out of the country – don't fuck around as only you will lose out.
My final piece of advice is to DROP the personal logo. I don't understand these personal logos – and honestly, its not that strong. Most of these end up being sad excuses for logos that aren't even necessary.

1: Simply more fun to read, has personality.
- Dancer0
words like "Neato" and "sweet" make me wanrt to punch you in the head
Best,
- chossy0
stops writting that card to dancer that says
"hey pal I think you are neato thanks for such a sweet time."
- Dancer0
hehe
- ChankD0
Thanks for all the constructive crit.
The copy on #1 really isn't serious, more so place holder for the time being. If I really got that printed I would hope all of you would join Dancer in punching me in the face.
I'll definitely bump up the pt size of the envelope and take a look at the left margin of the letter head on #4.
Again thanks for taking the time to give me your opinions, really appreciate it.

I like 4, but with the back detail of 2. Sorry but no 1 is faaaaar too busy for me!

Completly noob-esque question:
What app are you using?
Some people would go with inDesign for this, others with Illustrator. How about you?
Thanksies.
