I like 3 the best. I think you need to lean the shadow a little more, and perhaps even lighten it up a little? I don't think it need much work. Clean and clear, I like it.

I like #2 (not like that) or #1.

I like the position of 3, but I don't like the shadow... looks like broccoli or something.
for me the the tree looks like it's blowing in the wind, or maybe holding fast in the wind... could be a good analogy for the insurance industry. 'Whethering the storm' as it were.
Maybe play with the rotation or the tree to look more grounded?
the greens are a bit to enviro/food product for me... maybe a bit richer and toward blue on the colour wheel ?(rather than yellow like now)

I find the sharpness of the serifs "uninviting"

:/ Hopefully that isn't a copy off Eric Gill!
At any rate, the shadow on #1 doesn nothing for you. It's a stylistic frill, and as such detracts from the logo as a unit. Go with #2.
I agree that your serifs feel a bit sharp and uninviting. My recommendation would be to use a softer serif, maybe something like Garamond or Dolly (Underware, NL), or use a humanist sans like...TheSans.

i like number 2 but feel the cept in concept starts to float away from the rest of the letters kerning wise. tighten a bit?!?

I like the type, but the leaf just looks like romaine lettuce to me...

I would kern the CO a little tighter, same goes for the PT. Also maybe try the leaf part centered vertically to the L (dangling the stem more) and moved left a couple clicks.
One other thing I just thought, try sharpening the miters of the leaf illo to match the serifs, that might make it seem more cohesive.

#4 looks best and is the most solid of the bunch.
