Rainy Wednesday. For lunch today, we had garlic spaghetti with mushrooms and prawns, along with Idiazabal cheese, and a young, inexpensive but tasty wine from La Mancha :)

I'm going fast today. Sorry, I don't have any photos... today, about 18°C, quite cloudy. For lunch, lentils, some chili peppers, pig's trotters, and chistorra (a type of sausage), with wine of the year.

Today for lunch, breaded hake fillets, my wife made them yesterday, and for dessert... mature goat cheese, El Moro, from Navarre, spectacular!
A little young red wine to sip, sad, I've got lot to do until eve.

Today we're having leftovers: lamb sausage and breaded fish from yesterday (quite a mix!) with... a great white wine made from Garnacha grapes, which was also leftover from yesterday.
Nothing amazing, but the glass of wine was exceptional.
A quick nap and then back to work.

- Yes! Fabada is ideal for winter, although for us, the king of stews (along with chickpeas and lentils) is black beans with cabbage and blood sausage.OBBTKN

The Dad always gets the food no one else wants. Got home from a shoot in the city today having only eaten a banana around 7:15am. Famished by 2pm. Wife says we have PIZZA! Okay mama let's go. Find out it's one white slice, and one ham/pineapple. Into the toaster oven they go and I wolf them down while my wife tells me the boys won't eat them.
*Pizza was purchased with the 2Good2Go app where restaurants offload food for cheap at the end of the day.

A tasty IPA by Maine Beer Company called 'Lunch' named after a local whale often seen / easily noticeable by what appears to be a bite taken from her fin (thus the nickname 'Lunch')

Bought an LED garden kit for greens (sprouts are super easy to do too). Left over rib eye from Thanksgiving. Mama pho noodle from Chinatown. Maui chili oil from.. Maui lol

Today, Tuesday, a dreary and gray day, birds flying low towards their southern refuges, heading towards Extremadura, Andalusia, and Africa... Well, today's meal is paella with vegetables, pork ribs, and beef, paired with a chilled, young red wine. For dessert, cheese.

Lunch today was mentaiko pasta and cucumber salad
Last few nights been having insomnia. One night, turn on the tv and low and behold 2001 Space Odyssey was on! Maybe itd help sleep. Part way thru they are having a meal -- it never registered til then but the crew use a funky set of cutlery so while the night sky brightened, I surfed around attempting to finding details on it. lo and behold there is a production version of them and it was discounted for black friday!
(I have a small collection of airline meal cutlery. Sure, weirdo nostalgia, but also I think the designs of cutlery is interesting. )

- nah, i just liked flying in the days when you got a metal fork, knife and spoon etc. never stole any but you can find them on ebay easily.Squiddy
