Please tell me this thread will NOT contain pics of mostly naked NT'ers in front of a mirror...
A tip I heard a while ago and try to follow as much as I can.
If you don't think you have time to exercise. At night while watching TV, during commercials, do your sets of pushups, sit ups/crunches whatever. Just don't sit and watch them. After an hour of watching TV you've got a good start and you have to start somewhere.

(Jan 2 07, 09:12)When I make the effort, I do this during Seinfeld for a half hour and then go run at 7:00 p.m.

Don't know if anyone has mentioned this or not but it's working great for me and will be awesome to look back through at some point......
Buy a calendar that is exclusively for you to write down each day what you've accomplished workout wise.
It works really great for tracking my progress running. It helped me meet a 2 month goal I set for myself which might have been more difficult without knowing how I had been doing over the previous weeks.

design_naked,
While I was in Tokyo in August my GF watched my place.
She found my runners log book and looked to see what I'd put in there so far.
There was one entry, on one day that simply said:
"Ran to the end of the block."
Needless to say I will be putting more effort into it from now on.

(Jan 2 07, 09:18)At least it's something...I've belonged to a gym now for about a year, and I've gone maybe 30 days total. I suck. But once again it's my resolution and I could stand to drop about 15 - 30lbs. I have a gut that needs to go, and I've really never been muscular or built, so I figured now is as good as ever.
But getting back to running to the end of the block...at least it's something. Since I'm not a gym fan, I look at it this way...even a little something is better than nothing. Like if I'm really exhausted after work one day, at least going to the gym and doing 20 minutes on the bike is better than not going.
Anyway, count me in on this (oh, and I'm 25 suckers!) and let all of know when the official NT exerblogpostsite is up and running.

PS - I was post 69.
PSS - That Apple Nano/Nike + commercial has me motivated. I want one even if it does less than my iPod video.

Why can't that Nike thing work in a shuffle?
I might get a new shuffle so I have something lighter to use when running/working out. Don't want to lug around a 20GB ipod on my arm, that's just not my thing.
I was at the Nike store last week and kind of intrigued by that Nike + gizmo.
- mg330
Oh, LOL and don't say "The shuffle has no screen you idiot!"
I was under the impression that you downloaded everything to your computer to see results and track progress.

I think you can download the Nike iTunes tracks, but it's not the same if you don't have the Nano. I'm hoping they come out with some Nike thing for the video iPod soon. I know it's bigger, but it's still small enough to clip on your waist or just hold on to.
I saw those Nike sneakers, and I'm in the market for a new pair and they aren't too bad. I'm not a Nike enthusiast (all brands are treated equally) but I must say Nike makes some of the nicer more reliable sneakers I've worn. Plus if you actually bother to call in, they'll replace or fix your shoes if they wear down.

I bought my girlfriend some new Nikes for Christmas, she wanted them more for casual wear, but while browsing they had some really cool shoes in there. The Nike store has so much stuff here in Chicago.
I have Asics that I run in and really don't need new shoes, but I hate the pull to buy new ones just because they look cool! :D

(Jan 2 07, 09:25)Got a pair for my wife for Xmas. She LOVES it.
You can download training programs from apple. Meaning, you get about 15 songs and some dude's voice over telling you how far you've gone, to go faster or slow down, up the incline (if you're on a treadmill) and such.
Then via iTunes you can send the info to Nikeplus.com and track your progress. It's a great motivator.

(Jan 2 07, 09:45)Kind of. The shoes were 100. But what good running shoes aren't these days. :/
The gizmo to put in the shoe is $30.
And she got a nano for her birthday earlier in the year. Which, even the low end nano is $150 I think. So it's about 300 bucks. But it might be worth it ya know. She's been running daily since she got it. She hasn't done that in a long time.
