So what does everyone think about the new look.

i dig the clarity of the icons. easy to read. increase my productivity. their color wheel mode of organization is interesting too. groovy.

pretty cool.
has anyone else noticed that the pen and select tool are 1 pixel off? Drawing a straight horizontal line results in a line 1 pixel below where I want it.
Is this happening to anyone else?

the emperor is wearing no clothes, and the new adobe icons are lame.

There not horrible, but I don't think they fit Adobe. It was always nice seeing these creative icons with flowery/natury images, so compared to that this is lame.
I dig the color wheel thing, but it'd be nice for an up and coming company, not an already established one.

(Dec 28 06, 13:04)Couple things to check. Are you drawing next to a guideline. Do you have a grid visible? Either of these will cause that. FYI, grid snap overrides guideline snap. Snapping to layer bounds might also do it.
Besides that, is anyone else having troubles with the CS3 cursors? I like to use brush size and precise, neither of which seem to be working properly for me.

haven't tried out CS3 yet but i personally think the icons suck. I know the colors are different, but the shapes are too much the same. Hard for me to see the difference between apps when they're on the taskbar....which is the purpose of the icons in the first place.

haters wanna hate
lovers wanna love
i don't really want
none of the above

my swarmy jpeg link aside i never liked macromedia x's letterform icons... so i really don't care for the adobe version for their creative suite... i do have to give whoever designed the icons for macromedia x credit though... at least they did something interesting with the letterforms wheras adobe did not .

i don't understand how that color wheel applies across the suite?
i have tried the PS CS3 beta, but the icon in my dock installed by Acrobat 8 is white as per the far right icon on that diagram.
is the photoshopCS3 icon just the blue Ps box?
- horton0
i *haven't* tried the PS CS3 beta...

hhmmmm....did their budget get cut or what?

I'm not a fan either.
I plan to just swap out the dock icons and maybe use those from CS2.

looking good!
They needed to change things to integrate all the macromedia products. those old icons were getting boring anyway

I do not like those icons. They will be a bitch to try to decipher sitting on our docks at a small size. Since they decided to go with monograms all in the same typeface it adds an extra step of having to translate the icon before even knowing what its for. When I buy CS3 i will be keeping the CS2 icons.
