it's tough. maybe try different bg shades? i can see the issue with the bottom ending of the photo though....maybe a gradient? hmm..

uhm.. i have an idea. not sure if they'd accept it..
but i need the photo of that composer to show you.. low res is fine too..

I'm stuck on 1.
I agree with the comment that the flowing lines symbolize the fluent motion of the baton, and the way claasical music floats through.

(Dec 20 06, 08:17)agree. I like the idea someone had about diagonal type, plus add a bit of variation in the echoed baton-lines.
Nice work, elms. :)

thanks!
will make some lighter variations also, and then post it again.

Number 2:
tighten body type layout, maybe bolder type?
Love the repeating line, but try making the repeating lines look more like his baton.
ie: Lighter, and maybe try and a slight point?
Overall I'm really liking it. Nice work.

Also, maybe try setting the headline type (MIRK MURDVEE) in italics, to play off the slant in the repeating lines?
Worth a shot...

woah, that's quite a diversion...!
what do the sprial forms represent - are they relevant to Estonia somehow?
- elms0
snails :P
seriously, i proposed that they should give some musical examples of every forthcoming concert, so maybe then it would be easier to make the poster.
