"It is something they have been saying they are going to do for quite a long time now, so I wouldn't expect any market reaction," said Ian Stannard, an economist with BNP Paribas.
ok, so then what really is the point of all this mumbo-jumbo?

basically - there are more dollars in print than the US can actually afford. This is fine if the dollar remains strong and the value remains liquid - a good thing, in fact - kind of like free credit. if it's only Iran that shifts to the Euro, this probably won't amount to more than a minor inflation adjustment. If, however, it sets a precedent and other countries follow suit - starting with the countries of the OPEC cartel, followed in order of holdings down the list of countries that the US has significant trade with - China, Russia, etc etc, then suddenly the dollar will HAVE to be adjusted to its actual value = the currency becomes massively overvalued, everyone sells, the economy implodes.
ta-da! welcome to a new world order - and you can bet against the US/West sitting there, allowing this all to happen.
- ********0
this won't happen though.

yeah, and don't forget about the fake dollares out there as well.
For years, North Korea's Kim Jong-il has been flooding the global economy with so-called "supernotes" – counterfeit U.S. $100 bills so good even Secret Service agents can't tell the difference without conducting sophisticated tests.
The 2005 arrests of major Asian crime figures in several U.S. cities led investigators straight to Pyongyang – and from there to Beijing. Experts now believe that a significant percentage of U.S. $100 bills now in circulation are counterfeit.
The strategy is to flood the market with counterfeit dollars to deflate its value. Then to convert U.S. holdings to euros, thus pushing the dollar into a deflationary freefall.

and don't think that Kim Jong-il is doing it in relation to Bushie. He was doing it long before Bush.

that's what you get for being so big. everybody was trying to fuck the romans too, and the romans fucked the greeks, and the greek fucked the persians - and the persians must have been fucking somebody that didn't a name in history.
fucking is key to grasp the whole human history.

now that was stupid.

actually, you're right Witt. It goes that way.
A good analogy, look at Microsoft and their hacked software.
It's inevitable.

Nobodies fucking me,..... well depends on how horny I get I suppose, I won't really rule anything out.

that could be avoidable, if it was cheaper.
maybe i'm just another non-believing culturally bred catholic out there, but things could be much better if there wasn't so much people trying to be stupidly rich.
on the other hand, i also am a protestant, and i think Gates deserves credit and respect for his intelligent work.
in a word, i think we need those nerds. Like Carlile said (and not like the introduction in Time to the "You" man of the year, that bashes him) i think that some people open doors to others. it's a natural thing and it doesn't have to come to a superior/inferior dilemma. Some people just put more time into some workings and they deserve every penny for it.
Logically, if they are GOOD, they can transfer knowledge - and somehow i think that microsoft does that to a certain point.
it's there for you to grab if you can make it.
that's my point-of-view so far as i know. if there are other workings at play, just let me know. i can change my mind much quicker than i usually change my underwear.

It liberates the vandal to travel -- you never saw a bigoted, opinionated, stubborn, narrow-minded, self-conceited, almighty mean man in your life but he had stuck in one place since he was born and thought God made the world and dyspepsia and bile for his especial comfort and satisfaction.
