It's pretty slick and loads faster.

Here's all I found to be new and noteworthy:
-Faster on Intel Macs
-UI facelift
-Updated bridge
-Quick selection tool is ace
-New options screen layout
-Non-destructive filters - however, with that you have to convert the layer to a smart object which I haven't been sold on yet in CS2. Don't really like the SO thing.So far, unless you're on an Intel Mac, I wouldn't call this a must have upgrade.

So.. forgive my stupidity - PS CS3 Beta - for download, for Mac & PC, now, before it comes out..
..for free? What're the limitations here? I'm still rocking PS7 (tickle by giblets, 'dinky'), but the idea of a guassian blur adjustment layer is makig me pretty hott.
Do I just sign up, download?
Shall I?
I don't even now why I'm asking - I just feel that.. somehow, I'm missing something obvious here.

It's beta, so obviously it's not as refined as it will be (hopefully) in the official release. You have a trial period unless you have a CS2 serial number.

Next question - it is a 5 year trial period, isn't it? That'll do me 'til the next time I can't afford to upgrade again!

you only get 2 days if you don't have a serial.

30 days without a serial. you have to go online and register your exisiting cs2 serial and they give you a serial for the beta.
or you could just crack it with the previous post.

I downloaded the beta, and when authenticating the PS setup app it won't accept my admin name and password?!?! i use these all the time, triple checked them in my account settings and it still won't accept them?
anyone having similar issues?
