Apparently the stock spam stuff works... I think it was in the NY Times that I read an article saying that enough people invest to boost junk stocks by about 5-10%. The spammers then sell it off and it drops again. They come off with a tidy profit on random obscure company stocks.
Any yes, passing your email through Gmail seems to work pretty well. Even they were letting through way more spam than usual the last couple months, but it's gotten better again.

That is really the majority of the type of spam I get lately.

I get about a dozen of those stock ones but only at my company email address at work.

Does anyone get ones that includes stuff about stock symbols?

I get a nice blend of stock w/ really well laid out GIFs and plenty of c!a|i5 and v!@gR6 ones too.
What's so stupid about them all lis there is absolutely no benefit to some SPAM'r. There's no links, no nothing, its just gibberish and design inspiration of the highest order.

Join the club. I had to kill an old email address cause some jag bag from here signed it up to a few spam lists.

I keep an email that I only give out to humans, and another that I use for any kind of web form or registration. and gmail almost always catches what spam does get through. Seems to work well.
- Jaline0
yes, gmail works well for me too.
- mg330
What's the deal about disabling an email address for 48 hours, and this will make the spam bounce back and state that the email doesn't exist, but any pending mail you should be getting will still send to you?

I can't ditch the metagramme email, it's all over my expensive business cards & letterhead...

I have email addresses @ yahoo & gmail. neither of those get nearly as much spam, and metagramme is the one i'm paying for!
- Jaline0
you should change your email to gmail and have it forward to your metagramme email and monitor it for a bit.
