this is the response i got from MT when I told them my spam levels were out of control.

the really cool thing, though, is that it all started when someone from NT sent me a bunch of spam. The coast was totally clear before that. What i get for cracking a weak joke.

Join the club. I had to kill an old email address cause some jag bag from here signed it up to a few spam lists.

I keep an email that I only give out to humans, and another that I use for any kind of web form or registration. and gmail almost always catches what spam does get through. Seems to work well.
- Jaline0
yes, gmail works well for me too.

What's the deal about disabling an email address for 48 hours, and this will make the spam bounce back and state that the email doesn't exist, but any pending mail you should be getting will still send to you?

sounds like malarkey
I can't ditch the metagramme email, it's all over my expensive business cards & letterhead...
not that i've done any freelance in the past 9 months...

NT is a spam factory, our addresses are out for grabs without any protection from the bots

I have email addresses @ yahoo & gmail. neither of those get nearly as much spam, and metagramme is the one i'm paying for!
- Jaline0
you should change your email to gmail and have it forward to your metagramme email and monitor it for a bit.

(Dec 12 06, 14:21)set up your account on your host to forward all mail to that address to a new address (your gmail addy)
then on gmail, you can make outgoing messages appear to be from a diff. address (your domain addy)

For some reason around 2 months ago I started receiving a ton of that stupid stock symbol image spam.
