I would do that Justin but people come in to ask me things a lot and I hate having to repeat myself so I wouldn't want them to repeat things multiple times either.

i know a person that gets very anxious and pissed off if there isn't anything on the radio while driving; full of exasperated sighs and other forms of non verbal protest.

(Nov 21 06, 12:17)Same here. and it REALLY pisses me off when people get all hostile about not having music on for a little while.

I can occassionally like drive without music, but only like on the turnpike.
Sometimes I do it to get my thoughts together ... on how to talk my way out of whatever I did either coming back to Pittsburgh from the turnpike, or leaving Pittsburgh on the turnpike.

I'm actually not only listening to music just like any day, I will also finish 2 tracks I been working on, I have no reason to not listen to music, what If I go def tomorrow?

and flavorful, i have never been called a 'towel' before. thanks for your sense of humor. is that like Towlie? :P
jaylarson
(Nov 21 06, 12:17)Hahaha yea, it's from some episode of South Park where Towlie just says, "You're a towel!" to people who obviously aren't towels, and it makes no sense.
I don't know why I say it so much.
Probably to fill the silence, haha.

being the misanthrope that I am , headphones sewn on to my skull at work.

holy crap, I know what you're talking about. My entire family (except my dad) always needs music on the WHOLE time we go on any trip, short or long. I can't stand it when the music is blasting away at all times. There has to be silence once in a while. I absolutely love music, but sometimes it does get to a be a bit much.

(Nov 21 06, 11:58)yeah. i went on a road trip with my uncle and we were in the middle of the big horn mountains, chillin at a wayside rest, eating dinner in a meadow. he thought it was nice to have music cranked up.

haha, I bet you do need the lights on. Granted, I leave the radio on all night and need the TV or radio on the in the background when I'm doing something that doesn't need excessive concentration. Things that require lots of concentration is when I make sure to have some silence. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to get everything done by a certain time.

I hate silence.
Or the absence of anything not on top of John Cage silence.
I need cars, I need sirens, I need someone else with music far away, I need the lites on when I sleep ... wait.

i agree is is useful at work. people yammering away on the phone next to you, people having a lively discussion outside your cube. i prefer something covering my ears too. but what i am talking about is the need for something while one drives, the need for incessant noise rather than silence.
unless you can't handle the quiet. which i can understand; silence is often louder than noise.
yeah. that's what I said. silence is often louder than noise.

it ain't an addiction son. it's not wanting to be bugged at work, and having to listen to non-stop corp. talk!

from what I have seen, people who are addicted to music are pathetic.
i listen to a lot of music too, but i know when to turn it off.
i don't go around saying i need new music. i need to consume more more more more more.
rant over.
