I don't hold out much hope for it, but the bit with Homer at the end really did make me giggle a lot...
*keeps fingers crossed*

I'm hoping they developed a story that plays like a movie and not just a stretched out 22 minute episode.

I hope it's not over the top with cameos.

that's exactly what that whole part with homer seemed like. I'm a huge fan of the Simpsons. I haven't watched much of the new stuff the last 2 or 3 years, but I'll probably still go catch the movie.

I saw it last nite, and of course it's going to be great. It's the Simpsons!!
They had a lull a few seasons ago, but I think they've been almost better than ever the past one.
Movies are a natural progression if they finally stop the show itself. This will probably be the barometer unfortunately.

The show just keeps getting worse. The jokes just aren't even close to funny.
"Who's gonna keep oil under $100 a barrel, you? ha.
Oh, i mean yes you oculd you could keep oil uner $100 a barrel, yes you could.
No she couldn't"
How is that even close to funny?
The trailer however did look funny.

* Begins believing in God
* Prays to Her to ensure the Simpon's movie is absolutely fucking brilliant, with great animation
* Stops believing in God again

(Nov 13 06, 09:03)It's classic Homer material complete with his hilaroius "whisper".
I really think that the show itself is still great, it's just that it's been on so long, that ... it's not the same to the people who watched it when it first started.
I mean, the Simpsons have been on basically my entire life. I expect what I expect, and get what I want out of the show. I want to laugh. I wouldn't watch it if I didn't think it was funny, and the I don't go into any new episode expecting to have my brain explode with some cutting commentary on the current state of affairs in the world.
I just think people expect too much from it nowadays. :X

I hope that the last couple years have been weak b/c they've been saving all the good ideas for the movie.
As someone who has seen EVERY episode (I just was a wee lad when the show started) I really hope that they do not drop the ball on this movie.
I did kinda like some of the jokes in last night episode tho, must admit

I hope to God it's like the 90s Simpsons and not what we've had in the 00s. The trailer was great though.

i hope it's good
i haven't really been liking the show lately though ... homer has changed so much...he's sort of a yuppy now. it seems they try and make the humor so obvious now...before it was more subtle and clever
bart has turned into a little weiner too
