printed on celophane....

Shouldn't the word "empty" actually be "boring?"
- mr_snuggles0
what mg33 is saying is that nobody cares about words anymore, since they're virtually meaningless unless animated...

animated with shooting tendrils

needs more concept

Might be cool to make the poster like you're looking into a box with nothing in it, and put your info on a box flap as if it were ink printed or stamped.

Is the border intentional and part of the poster, or is that just the way the image looks on your site?
Something like that should bleed off the page to better activate the negative space. I would use a cleaner font and work on the kerning (I think already mentioned). The letters should be prefectly spaced and balanced with each other, which they are not. Typography is more than using the default font as is. See how the 'm' is closer to the 'e' than the 'p'? And how the 't' and 'y' touch?
Trying putting the word off center to create more tension, straight centered is boring...

I would go way small with the type...like 8-10pt... make them get close.
Also fix that kerning it's fugly.

it does have the obvious "got milk" theme going but my real question is, who is your audience? If you promoting yourself to other designers, agencies, etc well then fine - they'll probably get it, but if your promoting directly to consumer clients i think the message will be missed.
Personally I say go back to the sketchpad. This concept is pretty good but it is teetering on unoriginal.
sorry.

thanks again guys, the poster is just a quick draft, give me some ideas what it would look like in the final stages. I'm going to work and polish it up a bit more (and playing about with different faces). Once it's complete, i'll post it up for a crit again.
Cheers dudes ;-)

oh, i got a phone call while typing the response. forgot one thing...
why a poster? where will it hang? who will hang a poster that says "empty?" by their desk?
might be better suited for a nice sized postcard/direct mail piece.
- doesnotexist0
it needs an inner shadow.
- emptyempty0
Well at first it's a poster but like you say a postcard or direct mail piece would be better.
I like to think that my design is minimal style which is why i'm designing like this
- tasty0
You should make it say "MINIMAL" with every photoshop layer effect possible on it.
