There was 2 of us on one job with this employee that kept taking our work, then modifiying it slightly. Months later we were both told to improve our skills by taking exemple on said employees' "mad work skillz"

im a hack designer. i just turn up to work each day and piss about really. it's my gran that does all the hard work - she sits in front of her imac and blasts out shit hot designs for websites then sends me the files at night. then i go into work the next day and show everybody 'my' excellent work and pass it off as my own. i dont pay the bitch, i just keep her stocked up on chewing tobacco. she loves it!

Actually, I remember when I was starting out getting so mad at what I considered 'hacks' for the same exact reason. I thought they cheapened what I did and competed with me for projects. I've actually lost a client because when they went to cut the check the woman in finance's husband "has a copy of Photoshop and FrontPage and likes to do this stuff as a hobby and he'll do it for free."
I was so angry. but now that I've been around a bit those kinds of things don't happen as much although working at a software company I have to contend with developers and interns making their own designs, getting the dev manager to like it so they say all my stuff is junk and they just want me to make their designs 'work'. oooh I hate them. I hate them so much . . .

i am sick of hack designers and people who pirate photoshop and think because they can do a few tricks they are a designer. design should go exclusive again. from now on i am hating on hacks and fake ass "designers".

(Nov 2 06, 09:40)That depends on whether or not you're talking about people with real talent or people who don't have a degree. I've met many "designers" with a BFA who I wouldn't recommend color with fucking crayons, let alone design.
