(Oct 16 06, 16:01)first, branding is not about making logo and idenity... do not ever ever do that and call it "branding" on your folio.
2nd. branding is not about making a name well know... its about meaning.
3rd. branding is more about strategy and market research then pretty boxes.
4th. if you know nothing about marketing, stratigic management... you are not doing branding... you just making nice logos.. and pretty pics

ever since then i avoided using the word.
i don't like too much buzzwords anymore anyway.
it's about the design, what you make and if it brings across the message or feeling etc.
it is as simple as that, but for some not enough i think...

it may be the way to express personality, but therefore it is not necessarily the personality itself. but if it is, the company has no soul at all. which is dull and lacking true value in the sense of unicity.

a personality is what a person (or brand) is at their core. so therefore, at every interaction point, that personality is expressed.

i make a lot of sense. the one not able to make sense is you.
personality should be there, you don't MAKE personality with some stupid marketing story.
personality should be at the core of the companies history, ethics, ambitions, heritage etc.
visualising, or translating this concept in structural communication plans and getting it out there, THAT is branding.
