that's MY TAXPAYER'S money they're wasting!

I prefer it....
They do seem to go through the process a lot. Costs a fortune eveytime they do.
I like this that they did...

I have to say I couldnt abide all the politically correct ones before.
wheel chair dancers and what have you, just smacks of political correctness.
All that tango-ing, and tai chi, I mean come on.

That ad is seriously good....I think the res of youtube hides the weirdness of the different footage grades but fucking quality!

I loved the hot air balloon

They famously dropped the globe which was used since the BBC's inception(I think) when they bought out the dancers to be more cultrully(?sp) aware as they are a world service. That caused an uproar as well. I have not seen how the new brand will roll out (spots, etc.) but no doubt everyone will moan again.
On first impressions it is looking like it has lost a sense of importance.
Nairn BBC updates every 5 years.

I think it's lame! And the surf image? The BBC bares no resemblance to surf culture or any of it's values. What a load of crap! Just lazily dropping in a 'cool' image, and not feeling the big 'one'. If I watched TV and paid for a license, I'd be pissed off at this waste of money!

I guess Channel 4 have set the president, I don't mind it although it feels like five which I might add has gone down the pan since Spin stopped doing the spots!!

So from one tiny pic on the BBC site everyone is taking an immediate dislike to it. How the hell can you tell what happened after or before this image.
Why is everyone so intent on slagging stuff of when they know nothing about it/seen it for that matter?
I am not supporting the brand , but it does seem that the "cool" thing to do is slag it off.
Grow up people

I think it's perfectly valid in this instance to be rather opinionated.
It's our money, and as someone said the BBC has nothing to do with surfing, and has just thought, "what's cool"?
I think it is a waste of money, a pretty poor idea, and as we all know, they press release the best thing first, so I shudder to think what the family looks like.
I work in branding, and I'd guess that it would cost millions to change all the vans, print material, and so on. I think it's a n irresponsible use of my wonga.

reminds me of five.
they are all based around a circular theme, the argument being that old one was too square daddy-o. redbee dunnit innit.
- Dancer0
but this is ONE small screen grab surely we have to wait to see the bigger picture!!?

RoomFive, you've given me another reason to dislike surfers. Granted, it's not as good as Jack Johnson, but it's reason none the less.
- RoomFive0
...dislike away. I care not.
- moth0
I wonder if hot-air ballonists got that upset?
- Bullitt0
Fuk em.
- Nairn0
That's the spirit, Bullitt!
