why not have the image fully showing on one side with the 'facilitating greater...' in white, and then simple typography for the details on the other. At the moment the type is a mess, too much going on, not enough grid. Try to use as few typestyles/weights as possible.

sorry man. it looks too generic to me. what is the concept here? do they have a real identity to build upon or are you just toying around? more info pls.

Like rasko said, clean it up a bit, sharper typography..and the idea of having one of the sides with image ...try that!

None of them actually work, imo.
Homeopaths, that is.

as other people said, too much going on. they also do look very generic. i would say to stay away from all the b-cards you are probably looking at for inspiration and think outside the box. post more when you have revisions.

i do not think any of these are good solutions.
- the leaf texture is out of place
(even though i see where you are trying to go with it)- i would try another typeface than Meta- it was not intended to be a printed face, but a screen face.
- the scale relationship of all the forms is out of wack; hard to identify a clear visual hierarchy.
- why the 20-40% greyscale? a bit more contrast would be nice.
-play w/ that leaf theme a bit more? maybe bring it out as a vector graphic/keyline element w/ one or 2 colors making up the form? drop everything else to b/w and choose a consistant face to set it all in?

(Sep 8 06, 04:13)I agree. It is difficult making cards for something I have no interest in. Thanks for all the comments thus far...

(Sep 8 06, 10:51)thought about it. this guy is very into Indian culture and I am trying to stray his design away from it.

madirish-
i wasn't using Meta, but are Rotis, Scala, and Officina not for print? just a newb question."the scale relationship of all the forms is out of wack; hard to identify a clear visual hierarchy."
-ya, i hope to clarify on next post."play w/ that leaf theme a bit more? maybe bring it out as a vector graphic/keyline element w/ one or 2 colors making up the form?"
do you mean the green leaf theme rather than the petals?
thanks.

Amongst all the jabberings, you do see some useful criticism from time to time.

constructive crit from time to time...
but mostly wanker comments...

NT needs a 5th column for real critiques. It would actually be useful to root out the BS crit comments from people who can't design anyway.
Agree that typography seems a bit off. Although it's hard to tell without knowing the branding and reaction you want to gain. When you make a card figure the gut reaction you want to recieve when someone sees it.The black and white one doesn't have the feeling of healing. Your business card can be how someone remembers you, so make it nice.
The grid on the green on is a bit all over.
Agree with an earlier comment if looks generic. I'd fall back on basic typography and grid. The leaf image isn't cutting it in it's current form, but could be an interesting idea.
