i do not think any of these are good solutions.
- the leaf texture is out of place
(even though i see where you are trying to go with it)- i would try another typeface than Meta- it was not intended to be a printed face, but a screen face.
- the scale relationship of all the forms is out of wack; hard to identify a clear visual hierarchy.
- why the 20-40% greyscale? a bit more contrast would be nice.
-play w/ that leaf theme a bit more? maybe bring it out as a vector graphic/keyline element w/ one or 2 colors making up the form? drop everything else to b/w and choose a consistant face to set it all in?
