Ifyou are speaking of going through our court system so that there is probable cause for surveillance, I think it is a good idea.

(Aug 12 06, 10:48)ok... but again my question was...
"Do you think we would have been able to stop those attacks with our limits that have been placed on us by the ACLU?"

You're asking a question and still not answering the topics question.
what's your problem man?

We would be safer if every conversation in the united states was monitored for content and law enforcement had the right to kick in peoples doors at 3am and imprison people without warrants or charging them of a crime with absolutely no oversight.

(Aug 12 06, 10:55)I'll try one more time...
"Do you think we would have been able to stop those attacks with our limits that have been placed on us by the ACLU?"
It's so strange that you wont answer the question.

what limits exactly, the question is very vague.

Mrdobolina, You act like you’re not from this planet. Once I list the “limits” you’re going to debate the limits and not the question. Just answer it and stop being so politically sided.
You do know we're talking about human lives so put your selfish political agenda and hatred for Bush aside for 5 minutes and answer the fucking question.

excellent thread balance

I cant answer your baited question without more information as to what you deem "limits". Sorry if you don't want to let me know what these limits are.

It is my feeling that the mainstream meida and the ACLU have obviously placed their political agenda in front of human life and security by tying the hands of the government by spreading fear to the American public that their rights are being violated. By this action we are not nearly as effective as the UK where their government has the ability to hold secrets in a time of war that enables them to prevent these types of attacks.

what isn't the mainstream media to you?
- mrdobolina0
so to answer your question again, no.
If the US government received tips about a possible terrorist cell, it would have no problem getting the proper warrants to perform surveillance on them.
case closed.

do you really think ACLU stops the U.S. government from doing whatever the fuck they want?

(Aug 12 06, 11:08)sorry mrdobolina I would love to answer your questions but I wont until you answer the topics question. There has been 36 responses so far and you still haven't answered it. Why would you deserve an answer when you always dodge and never commit to an answer?
Answer the question and stop asking questions to get around it.
Your answer is "no", we wouldn't be able to stop the attacks because the mainstream media and the ACLU have managed to disable its own government from being effective when it comes to surveillance and interrogation techniques. That’s your obvious answer but you’re too afraid to say it so you avoid it with tons of questions and excuses.

Now answer my question, what isnt the mainstream media? Where do you get your news from?

(Aug 12 06, 11:19)The mainstream media is the popular media. I read, listen and digest my media from stations I disgaree with as well as stations I agree with.
I hear you complain about Fox a lot but then wonder if you ever surround yourself with opinions you disagree with or if you just listen to what supports your opinions.
