Just the inevitable downfall of taking something with allegorical value, like the Bible, and trying to take literal inferences from it. The whole Sola scriptura thing is hokey too.

------------------------Well, claiming that the entire Bible is allegorical demonstrates tremendous ignorance of the book because any layperson should know that it is comprised of various kinds of literature: Historical Narrative, Allegory, Apocolyptic, Prophecy, Poetry, etc... That is why we have the principles of context - hermeneutics. We read the different writings for what literary style they are.
As for Sola scriptura... that's just your opinion. Needless to say, I disagree. ;)

The book of Revelation is a literary style which doesn't exist anymore called "Apocolyptic".

For secular purposes it's considered allegorical. The imagery in The ROJC isn't an eventuality, it's clearly symbolic story-telling.

Oh, you can get under their skin alright. It's very sporting actually, don't feel guilty about it. Remember these people are bringing the philosophy to your door. Challenge the ideas.
