Not that this is some serious discussion, but I'm pretty sure that the 144,000 deal isn't the number of people that go to heaven. It's the number of people that get the highest heaven or something. Anyhow, those guys are well trained. I doubt stating this would throw them.
---------------
JW's believe that 144000 ppl will only ever get to to go heaven -so assuming yr no saint and have probably enjoyed yrself recreationally there many more likely candidates than yrself to join the 144000-
explaining this to them often shuts em up

They believe that ever since Christ's invisible kingdom rule was established in 1914, there has been a window opened to the faithful JW's who have a relationship with [their] jesus. These faithful [the 144,000 mentioned in the book of Revelation] will actually live with Christ in "heaven", which in their theology, is going to be a seperate realm from earth. The remaining JW's will serve Jehovah on a restored paradise earth.
The biggest problem with this interpretation of the 144,000 number is that the passage in Revelation specifically says that this is comprised of 12,000 faithful jews from each of the 12 tribes of Israel. So, the hermeneutical error they make is to allegorize the the literal tribes mentioned, but take literally the 144,000 number and apply it to their organization's followers.

don't they believe jesus and the devil are bro's who hate each other?
- flagellum0
Momentum: I think that might be a Mormon doctrine, but I'm not sure. JW's believe that prior to his earthly incarnation, Jesus was Michael the Archangel mentioned in the OT.

If Jesus is the Earthly Incarnation of Michael the Archangel, this brings up two points that either make or break the Da Vince Code.
1. Angels don't have privates.
2. Humans do, and as such an angel with a private would want to make use of it publicly and often.

the last person to see me naked was surely the doctor who brought me into this cold, cruel world

In this context, it would be more accurate to say: My interpretation of the same scriptures which are based on incontrovertible evidence, is grounded in a more sound hermeneutic.
Doesn't have the same fun ring to it though, i suppose.

Jesus and Satan being brothers is a Mormon belief.
It was also stated that whites were the descendants of Jesus, while blacks were the descendants of Satan.
Therefore those with colored skin were not allowed into the Mormon church.
They later reversed that belief with a new 'revelation' in 1978.
AKA - they saw the civil rights train a'comin and had to spiritually reverse their racism
