evan... it's just a silly video that's pretty much an 'about the company' deal... i don't see why you're so jumpy about their silly quotes about themselves...
... so don't act that way... good grief - it's a TEAM of people producing a POSITIVE video in search of a 'new' client's approval... nothing more... I wouldn't deam these folks 'non-creative' or 'douchebags' for that matter based on this short film...

this would be fun to debate further but I gotta hit the hay – until tomorrow yo..

part of marketing your company is marketing yourself... this is the kinda cheese that would drive a corpo boardroom wild...
... I don't think this video was intended to show how creative they are.
i dunno... it's definetly cheesy... it even feels liek a 'real world' episode at times... but I still don't think that video deams them 'douche-bags' or 'non-creative'

levelb... i hear that... i have the bar to go hit though... see you in a minute boz!!

PonyBoy, I'd agree with you if this wasn't purposely distributed to the public in attempts to win a popularity contest. If this was just between Agency.com and Subway, and we weren't SUPPOSED to see it, I'd be in complete agreeance with you.
However, Agency.com opened themselves up completely for us...to their attitude, to their process, and to their methodology.

evan... it's specifically about 'viral marketing'...
...the exact reason we're all talking about it.
They'll probably score the client.

fate never feels good about himself so he's always badmouthing everyone else. It's the meds for his manic depressive bipolar personality talking.

Man Justin, you know me! Just forget that I gave props to Fakepilot a couple days ago, and you got me down, PACT!

Good idea, poor execution (that script...). Points for the meta-ness.
- ukit0
No points for the meta-ness. That final shot is like something a sorority girl in a college marketing class would come up with.

yadayadayadayadayadayadayadayada... what a bunch of cunts
- tomkat0
yeah pretty cheesy.. looks like they could make it though

Hmmm... as funny as that Coudal video is, I don't think it's really very professional. I mean it doesn't make them look better than Agency dot com and it doesn't make Agency look bad.
It's the kind of trash talking that you hear about in glossy mags "JEN HATES BRAD" "ANGE LONELY AS BRAD LONGS FOR JEN" or some crap like that.

Aren't most ad agencies like that? Why the hate? Looks like they were also selling themselves on a personal level as well. Nice idea, but it was pretty boring so I guess they were playing it safe. We never got paid for our pitches.

The word 'viral' makes my skin crawl. I can't help but think that a viral campaign is just a cheap attempt at getting the attention of a demographic who is becoming less and less motivated by traditional advertisements, turning up the volume so-to-speak. Simply because most of these firms have no idea how to come up with captivating ideas, they'd rather try to make something kind of shocking to sneak it under the radar. Advertising these days is a shameful practice and this little video is a great window into the process of making cheese, not sandwiches. They didn't even try to capture the voice of the brand, they simply accosted people in the streets and wore Subway uniforms to prove to Subway that they can be good little bitches.

Wow, what idiots.

yeah, I could give a f--- about their agenda. Those people just make my skin crawl. A life of trying to convince society to consume, how fullfilling.
