As a direct competitor of Agency.com for 2 major brands, I can tell you guys this. Agency life is Agency life.
It’s about making money, bottom line.
It’s no longer about creativity, or ideas. It’s about getting as much AORs as possible and maintaining them by kissing more ass than your competitors.

The word 'viral' makes my skin crawl. I can't help but think that a viral campaign is just a cheap attempt at getting the attention of a demographic who is becoming less and less motivated by traditional advertisements, turning up the volume so-to-speak. Simply because most of these firms have no idea how to come up with captivating ideas, they'd rather try to make something kind of shocking to sneak it under the radar. Advertising these days is a shameful practice and this little video is a great window into the process of making cheese, not sandwiches. They didn't even try to capture the voice of the brand, they simply accosted people in the streets and wore Subway uniforms to prove to Subway that they can be good little bitches.

Wow, what idiots.

It doesn't bother me at all, PonyBoy. I'm having a laugh at them.

yeah, I could give a f--- about their agenda. Those people just make my skin crawl. A life of trying to convince society to consume, how fullfilling.

... thought I'd share that. :)

(Aug 3 06, 14:15)holla! So how hot is it in Phoenix? It's felt like the inside of a pot of gumbo here for two weeks straight.
- myobie0
their video sucked...
of course they will probly get the account? for an ad agency, this is gold.
the difference between coudal and agency - one has taste, the other does not
i would rather be known for having excellent taste than for being a suck up and being well versed in things like 'viral'...
- johndiggity0
it may have people talking, but it's not selling any subs, and the talk is mostly negative and directed at agecncy.com. anyone who starts a brainstorming session with the word viral clearly doesn't understand how this all works. i can't wait till subway reads all the comments on youtube...
oh to be one-upped by jon lovitz...
- PonyBoy0
actually... phoenix has been unseasonably COOL the last couple of weeks...
... why the rest of the country is crying over 'summer' (that's what happens sometimes... it get's 'hot' during the summer :) )...
... phoenix dipped down into the 90's and we actually had a few days of rain etc...
i don't envy your sticky sheets (humidity... you pervs!) that you're putting up with there (st. louis)...
... but bear in mind... you DO HAVE ALBERT PUJOLS... the best in baseball right now (fuck jeter)... (not this has anything to do with heat... other than they are 'the boys of summer'..)
:)

agency.com had an open house a few months ago at their office in NYC. I went, looking for some freelance and met the CD with the hat in this video. When I met him he was wearing this punked up jacket with rips, zippers and the word GOD over the chest pocket.
Didn't leave a good impression with me, but I think the pitch is a good idea.
- uberdesigner_0
it was as bad as a chinese knockoff
- uberdesigner_0
how much do you suppose they charged subway for this wankfest?
- jevad0
$500,000?
- Visia0
my God this sucks.
How did they view that and then think it was a good idea to post it?
All this did was solidify my belief that advertising agencies are nothing but repositories for the stupidest fucks on the planet.
"If we roll, we roll big."
What the fuck does that even mean.
Makes me want roll my fist into the wall via your face.
