flavor always says he has a story to tell, but it's too 'vulgar' or 'inappropriate', and then we get it out of him anyway...

but columbus happens to have limited brands that owns many different companies where they can afford to pay their employee well. it's never simple but i guess we just have to understand pros and cons.

----------just cause they can afford to doesn't mean they do... how do you think they make all those beelyons?

barb,
your statement goes for all companies out there. just because they can, doesn't mean they will. but if you know how to get it, then they'll give to you.

I think this one will really make me look like the asshole I am.
I was talking to this girl, things were going great, then I meet her best friend.
Things went really great after that, however, their friendship quickly ended and then I was stuck in a doomed pseudo-relationship with the supposed BFF.
I figure friendship with number one was better because she puts up with way more of my antics, plus number two was almost as tall as me.
On a scale of 1-10 I'd say they were both 9's, so the hottness factor they were even and I had to nitpick, and because I have severe problems.
Over time they became friends again (2 years...), and then one day I met this girl at a party, at number one's oddly enough. She looked familiar but not familiar.
I thought she was cute, hot, etc., so it was verbal diarrhea time and I quickly started making jokes and trying to make sure she forgot that anyone else was there unless I could poke fun at/of them.
I then find out, she is number two's little sister. Who is home from college for the weekend.
So ... I went into overdrive, much to the shygrin of said bigger sister who showed up later to see this.
Needless to say ... I'm a complete scumbag.
And that's ... ahem ... my "buckeye" story (though in "hind"site, that would have been hillarious).

do did you do all 3 of them?
- tkmeister0
that's good, barb. i am not trying to pick a fight or anything. i think more designers need to learn how to position themselve better and take advantages.

Yeah, I think the cooler the company the less they will pay you because so many other designers would want to work there.
For example: I had an interview at Mtv to do web design work. They were offering guess how much? An incredible $20/hr (and remember 25% has to be taken out for taxes). They also wouldn't commit to hiring me (I still had 2 weeks left at my old job). I didn't have the funds to just sit on my ass waiting for them to decide. When they did call me 2 weeks later, i had already found another job...fuckers!
- barbtastic0
neon... might be true about "cooler" companies, but mtv tends to treat ppl like poo
