well, don't feel bad if you can't find anyone. the wheel will keep turning with or without you. that's just corporate america. there's always someone who'll do it, either better or worse. to many companies it doesn't matter.

I think that pay is pretty good considering it could be done by someone on a jr. designer level. Don't most jr's make about 35-40K a year at first?

anyways, if the job is 40 hr/week that is $1600+ a week depending on hourly. I think that's pretty good. Not sure about NY. but it's not chump change, someone will take it

There was this group of little kids jumping up and down showing off paintings they just made. It was really sweet!

well, nyc attract a lot of great designers who want to make it to the top. and some take less money to be at best design shops to explore the opportunity and satisfy their desire and companies know this.
generally speaking, the city pays better. but columbus happens to have limited brands that owns many different companies where they can afford to pay their employee well. it's never simple but i guess we just have to understand pros and cons.
